Ponferrada

Ponferrada: the development of the town is connected with the bridge which made it possible to cross the river Sil. It was built by order of the bishop of Astorga at the end of the XI century. At the end of the XV century the Catholic Monarchs founded the Queen’s Hospital which contributed to mark the Way.

Ponferrada: Su desarrollo va ligado al puente que permitía salvar el río Sil, construido a finales del S. XI por orden del obispo de Astorga. A finales del S. XV los Reyes Católicos fundaron el hospital de la Reina que contribuyó a marcar el Camino.
